From my arial view above Rosita (a former gold mining village on Nicaragua's Atlantic coast) it's difficult to see any effects of Hurricane Felix. Four months of rain has created the illusion of a tropical forest recovered from the natural disaster of a year ago. The view on the ground is more revealing. At Simplemente Madera's Finca near Rosita there are still a tremendous amount of fallen trees on the ground.

The finca property limits extend to left (and beyond the image frame) of the barren patch in the upper right corner.
The zoomed view of the patio gives a vague sense of scale from the air.
The large wood framed structure being constructed in the middle ground will house the main saw mill.
A tangled forest provides a backdrop of the action on the patio where recovered logs are processed.
Most logs being processed are between one hundred and two hundred years old.
In the nursery, mahogany saplings await planting.
Driving on the access roads gives a close up view of the fallen trees.
